me and my big mouth ::.
it's official... i'll be giving a 2day workshop at nysc [better known as hofstra]. there's still time to register (not a whole lot - like 24hrs) - hit it up fast! here's a workshop desc.

The Truth About Cats and Dogs
Relationship experts say that men and women are about as different and also often at odds as cats and dogs. True, men and women are different, but how, really? This relationship gets even more tricky when the two try to experience this thing called "love" together. Some expect this love connection to just happen sooner or later while others find it to be forever illusive. Guys are so confusing or just stoopid. Girls are weird or just evil. Is this how it's supposed to be? We'll discuss some of the different questions you have about the "L" word, perhaps look at why we do what we do as guys or girls and pinpoint a few major problems between the male and female populations. The truth is we're not cats and dogs, thankfully, but meant to be so much much more than we realize.

also slated for this summer is the family keepers conference july 29-aug 1 at messiah college. i'll be the main speaker for the youth program. looks like a whole lot of fun for a smaller gathering of folks.

messiah
makes my cool christian colleges list for those of you that care. one of the things that i see that they ought to be commended for is their partnership with this conference. they try to extend themselves to this conference and organization, even offering their own students to serve as small group leaders. mind you this is predominantly a first generation chinese conference dedicated to helping these families grow more biblically in an american context. yes, they may have a pokey name similar to promisekeepers but the leaders are remarkable servants that understand our 2nd generation woes. and these messiah students are getting a great taste of cross-cultural ministry in their involvement.

again, prayers are much appreciated
