verbatim ::

"My anxiety level was off the charts. Then when I suffered shoulder injuries and had multiple surgeries a few years ago, I was an absolute mess. This was before I became a Christian and diving wasn't just something I did, it was who I was . When the injuries took diving away from me for a while, I went into a tailspin and suffered deep depression.

When I recovered and began training with my new Christian teammates, who seemed peaceful no matter what, I took notice. I wanted that kind of peace. I needed that kind of peace. And they said it came from knowing Jesus."

"When storms of life rage and the ground beneath your feet dissolves there are lessons to be learned by paddling harder, believing you can make it, and not letting deep waters keep you from diving into life. "
- Kimiko Soldati

courage and heart ::
it has been encouraging watching the recovery of a brave little surfergirl bethany hamilton. she won the courage award on the teen choice awards. while giving her acceptance speech she received a surprising loud applause for telling the crowd that her strength came from jesus christ. that was brave. i love her heart.
